GlobalGAP, for full assurance
Quality is quantifiable, and can be quantified in terms of the standards employed in a variety of quality systems. GlobalGAP, one of these systems, was developed by the buyers of a number of European supermarket chains.
GlobalGAP was designed to offer the necessary assurances for the quality of food sold by supermarkets. The system specifies the requirements to be met by growers and suppliers of vegetables and fruit.
Most European supermarket chains support GlobalGAP, and a number of chains actually require GlobalGAP certification. Self-evidently, a leading company such as Lans complies with all EurepGap requirements.
Lans has also been awarded several other forms of certification, namely ISO 9001, Nature's Choice, and Higher Level CBl-BRC (for the in-house packaging unit).
